José Antonio Donaire

Professor at the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Girona

Doctor of Geography at the Autonomous University, he has held research stays at the Universities of Tunis, Edmonton and Alberta. He is a professor at the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Girona, and is currently the Vice President for Communication and External Relations. He has investigated the behavior of tourists in urban spaces and the transformations of the tourist model. He has directed projects in several countries around the world (Peru, Mexico, Tunisia, the Mediterranean basin, etc) and also in different destinations in the country (Vall d’Aran, Barcelona, Costa Brava, Garrotxa, Lleida, etc). He has published in fifty magazines specializing in tourism and has published several books dedicated to this subject. He has been distinguished with the Teaching Quality Merit of the UdG. He served as councilor for economic promotion of Sant Feliu de Guíxols and as a Member of the Parliament of Catalonia.
